World Wind Day is an annual event celebrated on Jun 15 to raise awareness about the importance of wind energy and its potential to aid in the transition to a clean energy future. Global Wind Day was first celebrated in 2007 by the European Wind Energy Association (“EWEA”). In 2009, the Global Wind Energy Council joined forces with the EWEA to organize the event.
