Reddit has acknowledged on social media that technical issues appear to be causing the popular message board service to suffer some outages. The problems appeared to have begun on Wednesday and were still affecting the site and app as of Thursday morning. The site Downdetector showed a spike of more than 45,000 complaints on Wednesday afternoon and then an even bigger spike of nearly 70,000 reports around 9 a.m. ET Thursday morning.
